| YCS YMCA is providing Children and Young People opportunities for healthy physical and intellectual development, organizing their spare time and developing understanding for the differences and tolerant attitude toward each other. We are providing organized activities in different Sports, to promote the values of friendship, teamwork, understanding and tolerance. |

In 2006: |

The Sport and Scouting group of YCS YMCA was functioning continuously and with success, providing sustainable Sport programmes and opportunities for development of the youth Sport and youth projects and activities for physical health and healthy and holistic development of the young volunteers in the Y, but also other children and youth groups in the city. Especially important was the launching of the Third YMCA Autumn Sport Campaign in the second half of the year, due to the support of the grant of FARE Network and other local donors and partners.
This third Autumn Sport Campaign had crucial influence on the development of the Sport and Scouting Programme group in the year 2006, maintaining the programmes of our YMCA that are providing healthy development of children and youth, youth sport, and organizing the free time and after-school activities of high-school youth in Skopje. |
Thus, it supported the balanced development of the programmes of our YMCA, and the basic goals for holistic development of children and young people.
In the same way, this campaign supported the image and credibility of YCS YMCA among its partners: Macedonian Olympic Committee, Agency of youth and Sport – Government of Republic of Macedonia, High-school Union of Macedonia, Macedonian Student Association and Student Unions of the Faculty of Philology-Blaze Konevski, and Faculty of Medicine Sciences; These partners took part in the different fazes of the project and maintain and strengthen their partnership with YCS YMCA. |

As concrete result of the Third YMCA Autumn Sport Campaign were organized over 15 football matches where took part young people from four high-schools in Skopje, students from the faculties and other young people.
In the YMCA sport campaign took part youngsters from different local communities in the city and different ethnic and confessional back-ground. Especially important was the presence of a large number of young people from the Albanian community in Skopje, and the integration of the youth from Macedonian and Albanian origin.
Except for football matches YCS YMCA organized basketball matches for its’ members, in cooperation with the Student Unions of different faculties in Skopje. |
