"Singing to learn and learning to sing" - YMCA young leaders on exciting EU training program in Romania

A group of young leaders had a great opportunity to attended the training titled "Singing to learn and learning to sing" which took place in the period from 20 to 29 August 2009 in Izvoare, Romania. There were representatives from the following countries: Spain, Estonia, Macedonia, Latvia, Belarus, Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania. The place where the training took place full with beautiful landscapes, created an atmosphere that allowed the participants to get to know each other and work together in a great spirit.

This training program is supported by the EU (Youth in Action). The objective of training young people is to acquire valuable experience, an experience that will affect their interaction with peers and people in their environment. Training focused on the three main topics of study: leadership, communication and creativity.
The objectives of the training were achieved by using various methods of creative learning, LEARNING BY DOING and PRACTICE TIME, various games for team building and self empowerment.

Rusit Mahmut says: We were so glad being able to contact young people from all countries that were active in the training and we hope that the communication could be improved and some of them will become out partners for further projects, training, or something else exciting for all of us.
