YMCA MACEDONIA AT THE GREEK NATIONAL TRAINING COURSE IN HUMAN RIGHTS EDUCATION WITH YOUNG PEOPLE

YMCA Macedonia participated in the development of the programme and the preparation of the presentations and workshops at the Greek National Training Course for Trainers and Multipliers in Human Rights Education with young people which took place From 08-14th October 2006 on the Olympus Mt in Greece.
The training course, supported by Council of Europe- Directorate of Youth and Sport was organized by Kids in Action from Thessaloniki, Greece, in cooperation with Talinna Noorsootoo Keskus from Estonia and YMCA Macedonia. Our member Ivan Sterjoski- trainer in human rights education was involved as trainer/facilitator on the course.
23 participants mainly from Greece, but also from Belgium, Spain, Italy and Estonia enjoyed the beautiful nature and constructive workshops and discussions. The success of this event contributed in developing further plans for cooperation and projects aiming to build a culture of human rights within the society.
